WordPress was the outcome of discontinuation of an existing blogging software, called b2/cafelog, by their main developers. In the year of 2003, Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little, two users of b2/cafelog, decided on building a new platform that would remain above b2/cafelog.
As a result of their thoughts and decision, millions of users have benefitted around the world. Likewise, WordPress has created thousands of jobs, a bulk of industry and developers, writers, designers, bloggers and web publishers. All of these people are happily living their lives out of it.

Did Matt and Mike know the impact that their work would make? Probably not!
27th May, 2003 was the date when Matt made an announcement that the first version of WordPress was available. The reception that it gained was very good. Also, it is necessary to mention that the first version of WordPress was based on b2/cafelog with massive and significant improvements.
The first version of WordPress consisted of a new interface for admin, newer templates as well. All of these interfaces and templates are now more advanced and easier to look at.
Why is WordPress So Famous?
There should no surprise to anyone to see that WordPress has a worldwide popularity in recent times. With so many facilities given to the users, we can say that WordPress actually deserves all it popularity.
It is a fact that WordPress is currently running 35% or even more amount of all the websites in the world. This number may not be appealing to everyone, however, it is a very high number.
Also, we should note that, at the moment, the WordPress community is one of the largest ones in the world. With a community as big as this, WordPress has been organizing events, seminars, counseling sessions as well as official meetings with many professionals.

Let us talk a bit about WordCamp Sessions in Nepal. In simple terms, WordCamp Session is a gathering of professionals of WordPress. In these sessions, “speakers”, who are experts of WordCamp, including engineers, developers and specialists share their experiences of using WordPress.
Along with the sharing of experiences and ideas, WordCamp is also a very good platform where the speakers can get to know each other and increase their circle in friendly as well as professional way.

The second WordCamp Session that Broadway Infosys attended was WordCamp Pokhara. This time, it was even more exciting as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Broadway Infosys himself was a speaker for this session. As fellow speakers of the very same session, it was a matter of honor and pride for us to know and meet more WordPress professionals.

WordCamp Butwal, 2020
The latest WordCamp Session that was attended by Broadway Infosys was the WordCamp Butwal. It was the first WordPress Session of the year 2020. With a lot of high hopes and expectations, Broadway Infosys attended the session with our friends and it was a lot better than expected. Every event has its negatives however, WordCamp Butwal was an exception!
