Support Testing

We are preparing RentalNP for production launch. The platform handles money, identity documents and legal rental contracts, so quality is not optional a wrong booking calculation, a duplicate payment or a leaked KYC document is a serious problem, not a cosmetic one. As a QA Intern you will be part of the team that gets the product to a launchable state. You will spend most of your time inside the actual apps, the Admin Dashboard and the test cases  not in meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Write and execute manual test cases following the standard format.
  • Perform smoke, functional, and regression testing across the User App, Vendor App, and Admin Dashboard.
  • Conduct cross-device and cross-browser compatibility testing on Android, iOS, and browsers.
  • Test the application under slow and intermittent network conditions.
  • Test key user flows such as registration, login, property search, booking, payment, KYC, and contract generation.
  • Identify, document, and report bugs/defects with proper reproduction steps, screenshots, severity, and priority.
  • Retest fixed issues and identify any regressions.
  • Maintain the Product Launch Checklist and ensure test results are properly tracked.
  • Support UAT sessions and record outcomes.
  • Assist with production smoke testing after releases.
  • Monitor post-launch issues such as crashes, payment failures, KYC failures, and booking problems, and maintain the incident log.

Requirements

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field.
  • Understanding of SDLC and STLC fundamentals, and what a test case, test scenario and defect actually are.
  • Genuine attention to detail the ability to notice that a total is off by NPR 50, or that a status did not update after a refresh.
  • Clear written English: a bug report nobody can reproduce is not a bug report.
  • Comfortable testing on both Android and iOS devices.
  • Willing to work through repetitive test cycles carefully, including on regression days.
  • Honest and direct in reporting problems, including when the problem is in something we already said was finished.
