Position Overview

We are seeking a creative, fast, and detail-oriented Video Editor to produce engaging news videos, explainers, social media clips, reels/shorts, and visual packages for US Khabar. The ideal candidate should understand news storytelling, current affairs, social media trends, motion graphics, and basic 3D animation to create high-impact content for digital audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit daily news videos, interviews, packages, explainers, and social media clips for Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and website use.
• Create engaging reels, shorts, thumbnails/video covers, lower thirds, captions, transitions, intro/outro elements, and visual effects.
• Use motion graphics and basic 3D animation to make news content more visually appealing and easier to understand.
• Work closely with reporters, producers, anchors, and the social media team to deliver timely content.
• Prepare platform-specific video formats, including vertical, square, and horizontal versions.
• Maintain brand consistency, video quality, audio clarity, and fast turnaround for breaking news and trending topics.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in media, news, production, or digital content
• Portfolio/showreel of video editing work preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Media, Film, IT, Communication, or related field preferred
• Fluency in Nepali; working English preferred
