Job Specifications

• Perform comprehensive testing of software applications, data collection systems, and other products developed by the company.
• Create detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases based on product specifications and requirements.
• Execute test cases and accurately report and document any issues or defects found during the testing process.
• Collaborate closely with software developers, GIS specialists, and project managers to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Participate in product design and development meetings to provide quality assurance insights and recommendations.
• Conduct thorough functional, regression, and performance testing to validate the overall functionality and reliability of the products.
• Utilize automated testing tools and frameworks to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance the quality assurance process.
• Conduct root cause analysis of product issues and work with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of test procedures, test cases, and test results.
• Collaborate with the development team to perform user acceptance testing and ensure customer requirements are met.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and quality assurance trends to continuously improve the testing process.
• Train and mentor junior quality assurance team members, providing guidance and support as needed.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in quality assurance will be a plus.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency in manual and automated testing techniques and tools.
• Familiarity with GIS concepts, mapping technologies, and spatial data is highly desirable.
• Experience with database management systems, SQL, and data validation.
• Ability to create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Required Soft Skills 

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Nepali
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects under time constraints.
• Can work well within team dynamics.
