There are organizations in Nepal who care about competing with other organizations in terms of gaining success. Also, these organizations have the ability to use the internet for marketing and promotion of their values.
However, they forget (or ignore) the fact that alongside ranking in top 75 in the world for internet uses, Nepal is also very vulnerable to cyber attacks. There are many people around the world who can infiltrate any organization of Nepal that do not have IT security.
The top organizations of Nepal are aiming for a single result: success. Meanwhile, there are people who are looking for just a chance to bring those organizations down.
The Big Companies of Nepal are able to afford, easily, the IT security package and make their data safe and sound from unauthorized access. But, since these organizations are being ignorant about cyber crime, there are more cases of hacking that are on the rise.
In Nepal, there was a significant growth regarding cyber crime in the year 2015/16 with 35; while in the year of 2013/14 this number was almost half in 19. This signifies the ignorance of organizations of Nepal that are chasing only after success and not caring about privacy and information.
It is a matter of speculation when 100% of the big companies of Nepal are going to start using IT security. Hopefully, it is not late.
