Kathmandu, September 10, 2026. We conducted an induction session for first-semester students of the Bachelor of Computer System and Information Technology (BCSIT) program at Medhavi College. The session introduced students to the IT industry, the skills and expertise it demands, and the career opportunities available in the rapidly evolving field of information technology.
The session aimed to help students begin their academic journey with a clearer understanding of how classroom learning connects to industry expectations, encouraging them to build practical skills and a career-oriented mindset from the outset.
Key focus areas of the session included:
- Introducing students to the IT industry, its major domains, and emerging trends.
- Exploring emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), and their growing impact across industries.
- Providing an overview of IT career pathways, from entry-level positions to specialized professional roles.
- Encouraging students to build practical knowledge, explore their interests, and prepare for future career opportunities.
Through initiatives like this, we aim to empower students with the knowledge, direction, and practical skills needed to navigate the evolving technology landscape while bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
